Audiovisual Technologies

Traditional Audio:
One way I can use technology in my classroom is by using audiocassettes. This is an effective tool because this would help my auditory learners. Audiocassettes are not that expensive and are still used in schools today which means they must be working for students. What is best about this is that they can range from any age which makes it more accessible for teachers.

Emerging Audio:
I would use the Internet radio because this applies to many different learners. I could use this in a current events lesson. I could ask my students to go on the and search for current events, and they would be able to listen, view, or read. This is very helpful and very creative which would make my lessons more engaging so my students would be more willing to want to learn.

Traditional Visual:
In my classroom I would use Bulletin boards because can always change with lessons. I would make my Bulletin board colorful and cordinate with my topics. I feel that Bulletin boards are important because they are a way of introducing a topic to the class. Also, depending on the Bulletin board students can refer back to it if they get lost in the lesson.

Emerging Visual:
Digital projectors are important because this enhances images, notes, and videos on to the board. This is very helpful for students in the back of the classroom who may not be able to see the board very well. This is very effective for those learners who learn best by seeing.

Chapter 6

Digital Technologies in the Classroom

I would prefer to teach in a classroom with more technology because I would be able to appeal to more students. The lessons would be more engaging because students would be able to use touch screens. I feel that touch screens are important because they are very informational and with all the pictures and hands on activity's it would keep the students interested in the topic.When using projectors, smart boards, or 3m machines it makes it easier and more visible for the whole class to see information that the teacher is giving. This is a key element to have in a classroom because a teacher wouldn't want any of her students falling behind, and by making sure everyone can see the information clearly this would be an effective way for students to learn.

All About Me

I am a first year student at BGSU and I enjoy sports. I prefer to watch them live then on television. I am obsessed with cookie jar. I love soccer played it my whole life until this year, but I will probably pick it back up soon because I miss it. My favorite animal is a hippopotamus I wish they could be a house pet but they can't and this upsets me. I have many goals in life such as, owning a house in Malibu, owning my own Irish pub, swimming with wild sharks, and going backpacking in Europe.
